JON DAHL TOMASSON RETURNING TO DE KUIP
Jon Dahl Tomasson is returning to Feyenoord. The 31-year-old Danish international arrives in Rotterdam from Spanish side Villarreal, where he was given a free. Tomasson will sign a three-year contract. The Dane was one of the stars of Feyenoord’s 1999 league title and 2002 Uefa Cup triumph, before moving to AC Milan. The striker has already passed a medical and will be presented to the media at 1230 CET Wednesday at De Kuip, together with earlier buy Karim el Ahmadi.

ANDRÉ BAHIA EXTENDS DEAL TILL 2012
Feyenoord and André Bahia have agreed an extension to the Brazilian’s contract until 2012. The 24-year-old has been at De Kuip since January 2005, since when he has made 116 official appearances for the club, scoring eleven times. The left-footed defender from Rio de Janeiro has been more or less a regular in the side over the past three seasons.

WIM JANSEN COMPLETES TECHNICAL STAFF
The coaching line-up is complete for next season. Gertjan Verbeek’s second assistant alongside Leon Vlemmings will be Wim Jansen. ‘We are delighted that Gertjan Verbeek will have such excellent support bearing in mind the specific qualities of Leon Vlemmings and Wim Jansen. In our eyes this is the staff we need,’ said technical manager Peter Bosz. Björn Rekelhof will be the fitness and power trainer. Alex Pastoor will coach the reserve side.

LEON VLEMMINGS MAKES SWITCH FROM NAC
Feyenoord and NAC have reached agreement on the appointment of Leon Vlemmings as assistant coach at De Kuip. The 38-year-old will start work in Rotterdam on 1 July. It means that the KNVB arbitration requested by Vlemmings with respect to his resignation from his current club is no longer needed.

CONVINCING DISPLAY IN BRUNSSUM: 0-11
Feyenoord won the first of two training matches in Limburg Thursday in convincing fashion. The Rotterdammers eased aside the challenge of amateur club BSV Limburgia, rattling in eleven goals without reply. Former Feyenoord player Tininho pulled on a Feyenoord shirt as a guest and knocked in two. The remaining strikes came from Nicky Hofs (3), Theo Lucius (2), Kevin Wattamaleo (2), Michael Mols and André Bahia.

FEYENOORD TO PLAY BORUSSIA DORTMUND AND CELTIC
Tickets for the Feyenoord Jubilee Tournament will go on sale on the 24th of May. In this two-day pre-season tournament to be played on 1 and 3 August Dutch giant Feyenoord will celebrate its centenary by hosting a two-day tournament in which famous past opponents Celtic, Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham Hotspur will participate. Home team Feyenoord will entertain Borussia Dortmund on Friday and Celtic on Sunday, while the tournament will be kicked off on Friday with an Scotland v England classic: Celtic against Spurs. On Sunday Spurs will play German greats Borussia Dortmund.

VAN BRONCKHORST IN FORM IN ALPHEN: 7-2
Feyenoord beat amateur team Alphense Boys 7-2 in a friendly Thursday evening. Giovanni van Bronckhorst was the star man in Alphen aan den Rijn, netting twice and claiming two assists. Michael Mols and Nicky Hofs also grabbed a brace of goals each. Andwélé Slory scored the other Feyenoord strike.

MAKAAY PILOTS FEYENOORD TO VICTORY IN APELDOORN: 4-1
Top amateur side WSV played host to the newly crowned cup winners Thursday evening, as Feyenoord ran out 4-1 winners in Apeldoorn in the first in a series of wind-down matches. Roy Makkay scored three of the Rotterdammers’ goals, with Andwelé Slory getting the other. Feyenoord even had time to miss a penalty – Denny Landzaat saw his effort blocked by the keeper, in a game that Georginio Wijnaldum was forced out of on the half-hour with an ankle injury.

VAN MARWIJK SIGNS OFF WITH A TROPHY
Feyenoord swept aside the challenge of Roda JC Sunday to lift the KNVB Cup at their own De Kuip stadium. The Rotterdammers were too strong for their Kerkrade opponents, ultimately taking the trophy 2-0. Denny Landzaat and Jonathan de Guzman scored the goals, both in the first half. The silverware certainly adds lustre to the club’s centenary celebrations, while also ensuring that coach Van Marwijk leaves Feyenoord for the second time with a trophy.

VAN MARWIJK: ‘CUP FINAL IS UNBELIEVABLY IMPORTANT’
Sunday’s KNVB Cup final at De Kuip is an ‘unbelievably important occasion for the club, says Bert van Marwijk. It would not only enable the coach to leave Feyenoord with a prize, but also guarantee the Rotterdammers Uefa Cup football next season without the need to navigate the playoffs. And of course silverware would be a great way to celebrate the club’s centenary.
