 The partnership between Feyenoord and Erasmus MC Sophia Children’s Hospital was established in August 2003. One of the main elements in the partnership is the annual Sophia Day, which was a great success again last season when Feyenoord took on SC Heerenveen. The Feyenoord squad visits Erasmus MC Sophia Children’s Hospital at the start of every season, in addition to regular visits to the children on the wards. The club and the players are also delighted to realise the dreams of individual children.
All Feyenoord home matches are beamed live to the hospital, as part of an association encompassing Sophia TV, NOB, NOS, Canal+, Cinevideo and KPN. The club’s fortnightly Feyenoord TV is also broadcast on the Sophia TV network.
