The KNVB’s prosecutor has made a settlement offer to Jonathan de Guzman after the player’s sending off at Heracles Sunday. The punishment is so hard, because De Guzman has an endorsement on his record after picking up a red card in the 2006-2007 playoffs. Neither player not club expects to gain much from an appeal so the decision has been taken to accept the offer. Feyenoord will now has to do without De Guzman for four matches, the home games against FC Volendam and Ajax, the away fixture at FC Groningen and the KNVB cup tie against TOP Oss.
