The excellent second-place finish in last season’s Eredivisie table secured qualification for the third preliminary round of the Champions League. The draw takes place at UEFA Headquarters in Nyon on Friday.

Feyenoord’s potential opponents are Fenerbahçe (Turkey), Panathinaikos (Greece), FC Copenhagen (Denmark) and Dynamo Kyiv (Ukraine).

You will of course be able to read news of the draw, as well as the thoughts of players and the coach, right here at Feyenoord.com.

Feyenoord’s European campaign will get underway on Tuesday 31 July or Wednesday 1 August. The second leg will be a week later on Tuesday 7 or Wednesday 8 August.

If Feyenoord wins the third preliminary round the club will play off for a place in the group stage of the Champions League.

Defeat in the play-off would put the Rotterdammers in the group stage of the Europa League. Defeat in the third preliminary round would put Feyenoord in the fourth qualifying round of the Europa League. Participation in the group phase of that tournament can be secured from there.
