JON DAHL TOMASSON RETURNING TO DE KUIP

Jon Dahl Tomasson is returning to Feyenoord. The 31-year-old Danish international arrives in Rotterdam from Spanish side Villarreal, where he was given a free. Tomasson will sign a three-year contract. The Dane was one of the stars of Feyenoord’s 1999 league title and 2002 Uefa Cup triumph, before moving to AC Milan. The striker has already passed a medical and will be presented to the media at 1230 CET Wednesday at De Kuip, together with earlier buy Karim el Ahmadi.

Jon Dahl Tomasson played more than 160 official matches for Feyenoord between 1998 and 2002, scoring 71 goals. As well as the title and the Uefa Cup, he also won the Johan Cruyff Shield. The Dane has been on the books at Spanish outfit Villarreal for two seasons, helping his club finish a remarkable third in the Primera Division last season. He also played two years at VFB Stuttgart and three years at AC Milan. In Italy, he won the scudetto, the Italian cup, the Champions League and a European Super Cup. He has scored 51 goals in 99 appearances for Denmark, one strike behind the nations top scorer.
