DARLEY RAMON TORRES PENS DEAL

Darley Ramon Torres has signed for Feyenoord. The Brazilian keeper penned a 4.5-year deal Tuesday afternoon. 18-year-old Torres has been training with the club since last Wednesday. He has been given squad number 15. Peter Bosz says the 1.87-m tall keeper is full of promise. ‘He is a lad with quality that now has to get the opportunity to mature in his own time,’ explained the technical manager.

Darley had a trial with Feyenoord last year, making quite an impression at the club; enough for Feyenoord to sign him from Atletico Mineiro. ‘Together with Erwin Mulder we now have two talented young keepers. Erwin has made huge strides since joining the first-team squad. We expect the same of Darley, although he needs to make strides in other areas of course. He will have to get used to our culture and learn the language. But we are confident he will. He is open-minded and hungry to learn.’
