TIMMER AGREES CONTRACT EXTENSION

Henk Timmer and Feyenoord have agreed a one-season extension to the Dutch international’s contract with the club. The deal also includes an option to renew the relationship for a further twelve months. The 36-year-old’s present contract was set to expire at the end of this season. Technical manager Peter Bosz expressed delight at the deal Thursday. ‘We are very happy that Henk is staying with us. He is performing excellently and he also fits in to our team well.’

Timmer joined the club in mid 2006 for the second time, after an earlier six-month stint at De Kuip in 2002. The goalie has played 50 league matches for Feyenoord, including 16 this term. Feyenoord opened talks with Timmer a while ago to secure his services, which has now resulted in the new deal.
