FEYENOORD AGREES TERMS WITH CHUN-SOO LEE

Feyenoord and Chun-Soo Lee have agreed the terms of a four-year contract. The South Korean striker underwent a medical in Seoul Friday and will arrive in Rotterdam as soon as the paperwork has been completed. Feyenoord had already agreed a deal with the player’s club Ulsan Hyundai FC and technical manager Peter Bosz said Friday that Feyenoord would do its utmost to seal the deal before the transfer deadline. Those efforts have now paid off. The transfer fee will not be disclosed.

Feyenoord’s new striker has some experience of the European game already, after spells at Real Sociedad and Numancia in Spain. He has also played at two World Cups. The Rotterdammers have been tracking him some time and after failing to attract Luque the club immediately turned to the South Korean.

‘We have been following him for a while and we’ve scouted him extensively,’ said Bosz. ‘We’ve also talked with Pim Verbeek and Dick Advocaat, who have both been national coach of South Korea. They were very positive. They also had a positive opinion of him as a person and a professional.’
