Feyenoord recorded a 4-3 win at PEC Zwolle on match day 28 in the Eredivisie on Sunday. No Eredivisie fixtures are schedule...
Feyenoord appear to have come through a testing encounter with Galatasaray relatively unscathed, despite concerns immediately after the match. Jacob Lensky, Ron Vlaar and Sherif Ekramy all left the pitch with minor knocks, but all of them were back in training Wednesday. Stein Huysegems also returned to training after twisting his ankle in the warm-up against the Turks. The injury is not serious, but the probability that the Belgian will play against Werder Bremen Thursday is low.
Huysegems trained for around ninety minutes and he appeared most concerned with sparing his ankle. ‘The ankle is swollen and it’s still painful, but it’s not serious,’ confirmed the player. ‘Right now I don’t think I’ll be able to play against Bremen, but I’m not ruling it out. I have to rest my ankle now, then it will better tomorrow.’
Feyenoord trained in outstanding conditions again Wednesday. Catselen was the only player to train separately under the Anatolian sun. The outside right did train with the ball again however and feels that he is making progress.
