UEFA APPEAL FEYENOORD DECISION

The prosecutor of the UEFA is set to appeal the penalty imposed on Feyenoord as a result of the irregularities in Nancy. Feyenoord has been told it will be notified of the reasons for the appeal within six days. Manager Chris Woerts: ‘It a democratic right to appeal, so we will wait for THE arguments of the Uefa prosecutor before deciding how we will handle this situation.’

Feyenoord was fined 200,000 Swiss francs (around 130,000 euros) for the disturbances before and during the match in Nancy. The Uefa also notified the club that it would have to play two matches behind closed doors if it was found guilty of another offence within the next three years and instructed the Rotterdammers to contact AS Nancy about the damage caused to the French club’s stadium.
