PHILIPPE LÉONARD PENS FEYENOORD DEAL

Left back Philippe Léonard has signed a two-season contract with Feyenoord. The Belgian international – he has 24 Red Devils caps to his name – comes to De Kuip on a free transfer, after leaving Standard Liege at the end of last season, where he refused to extend his deal. ‘He will first have to get completely fit, but once he is he’ll bring a lot of experience with him,’ says technical manager Peter Bosz. Philippe Léonard’s career also includes a seven-year stint at AS Monaco.

Philippe Léonard passed a medical Monday and will train with the squad for the first time on Tuesday afternoon. He gets shirt number 17.
