HAGUE MOVE FOR CORY GIBBS

Cory Gibbs will play the rest of the season out at ADO Den Haag. The 26-year-old American hopes to stay in the picture for World Cup selection in The Hague. Gibbs arrived in Rotterdam exactly a year ago and broke into the first team under Ruud Gullit. But in the summer the defender contracted a serious knee injury on international duty, which ruled him out of the first part of the season.

Gibbs is now almost completely fit again now, but severe competition at Feyenoord means that he is unlikely to play much over the next few months. At ADO Den Haag meanwhile, the departure of Jan-Paul Saeijs means the club is desperately in need of a central defender who’s good in the air, and Gibbs fits the bill perfectly.
