FEYENOORD EXTEND ZUIVERLOON DEAL TO 2008

Feyenoord have taken up the option to extend Gianni Zuiverloon’s contract with the club by two extra years. The defender’s deal now runs until 2008. At the same time club and player agreed that the Rotterdam-born youngster should finish this season at RKC Waalwijk, where he is currently on loan. The same goes for Benjamin De Ceulaer, who is also on loan to the Waalwijk outfit. The players will talk about their future at the end of the season.

Feyenoord feel that the two youngsters need regular Eredivisie action if they are to mature as hoped. Waalwijk is a great place for that as both De Ceulaer and Zuiverloon are guaranteed regular first-team football in coach Adri Koster’s formation. Zuiverloon has already made 16 starts out of a possible 17 for RKC, scoring one goal. De Ceulaer has hit the target five times in 15 games, missing two matches with a hamstring injury.
