OWOERI GETS BACK OUT INTO THE COLD

John Owoeri finally got onto the training pitch Thursday after a three-and-a-half-week absence. The striker is recovering from a cheekbone fracture and has been unable to train outside until now, due to the vulnerability of his face to more damage. Owoeri joined Patrick Mtiliga and physiotherapist Dennis Lion for some running exercises. The Nigerian is expected to hook up with the rest of the group at the start of next week.

Owoeri worked on his fitness in his homeland last week. Since joining the club, the striker has made just one appearance in the first team, before breaking his cheekbone in a reserve match.
