TONY ADAMS HEADS BACK TO BLIGHTY

Tony Adams has completed his training period at Feyenoord. The former England international has been at Varkenoord since the start of preseason, to experience how youth development in Holland is run. ‘It was successful,’ says Adams. ‘Feyenoord bring through the best youths and I have gained a good impression. I have had a very good time here.’ Adams will now hop back over the channel to work as a commentator/analyst for Sky Sports.

After a few months in Holland Adams wants to study youth development in France. He took his place on the bench at Varkenoord for the last time as a coach at the reserve game on Monday.

After a twenty-plus-year career at Arsenal and a dip into management at Wycombe Wanderers, Tony Adams earned the highest Uefa coaching badge a few months ago. Gooners manager Arsène Wenger, who was at De Kuip last Sunday (photo), wants Adams to be part of the coaching staff at the London club in time, but only after he has gained experience abroad.
