PARDO NOT SHIPPING OUT

Despite more than a passing interest from Eredivisie sides RBC Roosendaal and De Graafschap, Sebastián Pardo will be staying at De Kuip for the rest of the season. The club’s technical staff have decided that is the best reward for the midfielder’s good performances during the Gran Canaria training camp. Pardo’s return to form is a great boost for coach Gullit of course, bearing in mind the absence of Shinji Ono, who recently underwent an ankle operation.

Gullit has not seen much of the twenty-three-year-old this campaign as the Chilean midfielder has been troubled by an ankle injury originally picked up last season. But with Pardo now back to fitness and training with the rest of the squad, the coach has been impressed by what he’s seen. The Chilean’s creativity in particular could help Gullit compensate for the absence of Ono in the middle of the park.
