‘The confidence is back,’ said a satisfied Feyenoord head coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst on Friday afternoon, two days ...
Peter van den Berg is not part of the squad named by coach Gullit for Tuesday’s friendly against SC Doesburg. The 32-year-old defender has a badly bruised calf after getting a kick in training and will be out of contention for at least two days. Other absentees this evening are Ramon van Haaren, Jorge Acuña, Chris Gyan, Chong-Gug Song and Anthony Lurling. New addition Gerson Magrão arrives in the country this afternoon, which means the game comes too early for him too.
Van Haaren, Song and Gyan trained separately Tuesday morning. Song picked up a calf strain in Germany, while Gyan is carrying a light injury in his upper leg. Ramon van Haaren is on the way back after his knee injury and Anthony Lurling is also making progress. Acuña’s torn ankle ligament is keeping him indoors at the moment.
FC Doesburg v Feyenoord kicks off at 7 pm CET.
