Bert van Marwijk was officially presented as the new coach of Borussia Dortmund Tuesday afternoon. The ex-Feyenoord coach admitted to being 'very proud and happy' with his new job at what is arguably the Bundesliga's biggest club. 'It's almost beyond belief that 80,000 people sit in the stands here every two week,' said Van Marwijk, who confirmed that he plans to move to Germany with his family this week. He'll officially start work on 25 June when Borussia start preseason. In the meantime Van Marwijk will travel to Euro 2004 to work as an analyst for Dutch broadcaster NOS.
Borussia is a massive club, so it was no surprise to see a very proud Dutchman being presented to the press Tuesday afternoon. Proud, but as calm and modest as ever. 'My work must be in line with the culture of the club,' confirmed Van Marwijk in front of the domestic media. 'My goal is only to improve this season's performance.' Borussia bagged a sixth-place finish in the season just ended.
