EGYPT GOALIE GETS ANOTHER CHANCE TO IMPRESS

Sherif Ekramy Ahmed is set to return to Feyenoord when the new season gets going. The Egyptian keeper spent a week in Rotterdam last week and Mark Wotte feels he deserves a chance in a match. ‘We want to see Ekramy in a game,’ explained technical manager Mark Wotte. ‘We didn’t have that opportunity last week.’ Ekramy asked to hook up with keeper’s trainer Pim Doesburg for five days during his stay at De Kuip and he certainly made an enthusiastic impression.

The 20-year-old is considered to be a hot talent in his homeland and was voted best keeper at the most recent World Cup for youth teams.
