NEW GENERATION REACHES AGREEMENT

Four of Feyenoord’s most promising youngsters signed new contracts Wednesday. Three of them, Wouter Artz, Felino Jardim and Elroy Lammers, were already contracted to the Maassiders, the fourth, Lorenzo Davids, comes over from FC Utrecht. The midfield southpaw signed up for a three-year stint, with an extra two-year option. Davids (17) is expected to alternate between the A1 youth team and the reserves. Technical Manger Mark Wotte has pointed up the coming season as the most critical in the quartet’s fledgling careers.

‘They can use next year to convince us of their potential. In any event, Feyenoord will do its utmost to help them fulfil their dream, playing in De Kuip.’
