GHALY COMPATRIOT AT FEYENOORD

Egyptian goalkeeper Sherif Ekramy Ahmed hooked up with Feyenoord for a weeklong trial Monday. An ex-team mate of Hossam Ghaly, Ahmed started his stint at De Kuip with an intensive sixty-minute session together with keepers' coach Pim Doesburg Monday. Ahmed is set to continue his work with Doesburg Tuesday, as the group will not be training due to an evening game in Goes. That all means that the goalie will join the rest of the squad for the first time Wednesday.

At twenty, Sherif Ekramy Ahmed is the youngest keeper in the Egyptian league. He was named best goalkeeper at the World Cup for players under 21 years of age and compatriot Hossam Ghaly certainly feels that Sherif Ekramy Ahmed has what it takes to become an outstanding last man at Feyenoord.
