IMPORTANT VISITOR FOR FEYENOORD FOOTBALL ACADEMY

Ghana’s Feyenoord Football Academy in Fetteh was honoured with an important visitor last Wednesday, when none other than African Football Federation president Issa Hayatou called. Hayatou spent two hours at the complex, and admitted to being very impressed with what he saw. ‘This sort of academy is the key to the future,’ said Hayatou, who was given a guided tour by director Karel Brokken, technical director Sam Arday and a few of the students.

Hayatou was keen to emphasise that it is vital that the students make the most of the chances offered to them at the Academy. ‘You are the future of Ghanaian football. So take this opportunity, work hard for your own future and I am sure I will see you on the pitches of Africa in the future,’ said Hayatou. The visitor also took in a game on the Academy’s new artificial pitch.
