LIKELY SERIOUS INJURY FOR LAZOVIC

Danko Lazovic was forced out of Feyenoord reserves’ 4-1 win against Excelsior reserves Monday evening with what looks like a serious knee injury. According to the initial diagnosis, the Serbian has damaged a ligament and if it is strained the striker is looking at a four-week layoff at the least. If the ligament is torn then Lazovic will be ruled out until the winter break. Hospital checks are set to determine the extent of the injury Tuesday.

Lazovic had just headed his team into a 2-1 lead when he picked up the injury. Mario Been’s team went a goal down, but equalised on 15 through Sebastián Pardo. Pardo was also involved in Lazovic’s goal, and the third, which was converted by Bombarda. A Jean free kick made it four in the second half. The win keeps Feyenoord reserves on top of the league.
