NEW AMBASSADOR FOR FEYENOORD

Tennis player Raemon Sluiter was unveiled as the new Ambassador of Feyenoord at Open Day Wednesday. The number fifty-seven in the world ATP rankings is born and bred in Rotterdam. Sluiter’s remit is to promote the Feyenoord name at home and abroad in close consultation with the club, although the finer details have yet to be announced. ‘It is a great honour,’ declared the 25-year-old.

The player was unable to make it to the Kuip due to sporting commitments, but he did express his feelings to his fellow fans via a telephone linkup. ‘Feyenoord is in my blood. This club is a way of life for me. That’s why I feel it is a great honour to be asked to do this.’
