Robin van Persie had a great chance on five minutes to hand his side the lead but missed and the Rotterdammers were made to pay two minutes later when the Serbian Urumov netted for the hosts.
Feyenoord started to put together some fine passing moves in search of the leveller, but the I'cons played on the counter, which led to a second goal just after the halfhour mark. Urumov it was who grabbed his second.
Five minutes later Mariano Bombarda should have pulled one back when he was sent clear with only the keeper to beat, but the Argentinian couldn’t convert.
A recurrence of Glenn Loovens’s groin strain meant that the defender did not return for the second half.
Chong-Gug Song was the most imposing player in a Feyenoord shirt. The Korean was obviously out to show his fans what he could do and his attacking actions were many. A shot from distance by Song shaved the bar in the 44th minute.
In the second half a visibly jaded Feyenoord again claimed most of the ball, but chances for Song and Pardo went a-begging. Pusan punished the visitors with two strikes from incisive counters and only minutes from the end did Feyenoord finally get on the scoresheet, when Robin van Persie converted a freekick with panache.
Scarcely a minute after that Jeppe Curth missed two dream opportunities to claim his first senior goal for Feyenoord when the young Dane miss-controlled, then shot high and wide.
