TAXMAN ADMITS FEYENOORD IS COMPLETELY BLAMELESS

The Public Prosecutions Department has abandoned its appeal against Feyenoord and Jorien Herik. The decision is final with respect to the transfers of Gyan and Allotey, confirmed advocate general Plugge. That means that the Department has now fully accepted the judgement rendered by the Court at Rotterdam that Feyenoord and Jorien van den Herik are completely without blame in the matter.

The advocate general is not yet ready to express an opinion on the Vidmar case. The Public Prosecutions Department would first like to hear what the tax division has to say on the matter. Meester Hans Hertoghs feels it may be a long time coming. He has protested against the deferment on behalf of Feyenoord and Jorien van den Herik, unless it results in the case being dropped. The decision of the advocate general clearly shows that this case has no place in the courts, says Hertoghs. From the very beginning Feyenoord has said that the Vidmar case is nothing more than a discussion about taxes, no more and no less. It is unfortunate that the Public Prosecutions Department has only now complied with that, but 'a fault confessed is half redressed,’ confirms Hertoghs.
