KUIP CONFRONTED WITH KEEPER CONUNDRUM

Feyenoord received a double body blow forty-eight hours ahead of the FC Groningen game, with goalies Zoetebier and Lodewijks both left with mountains to climb. As Patrick Lodewijks battles against a skin infection, Edwin Zoetebier came out of his game for the reserves with a knee problem. The two keepers will receive intensive treatment Friday and Saturday. Carlo l'Ami and Ronald Graafland, third and fourth choices respectively, are also still far from fit.

l'Ami is on the rehab road after tearing a humeral ligament in the Rotterdammers December fixture at Heerenveen, while Graafland is suffering from a painful lower back. Fifth choice Bas van Wegen is fit. ‘On Saturday we’ll took a look at how responsible it is to allow Patrick to play,’ club doctor Robbart van Linschoten explained. ‘The same more or less goes for Edwin. He’ll be examined Friday by doctor Heijboer.'
