ZOETEBIER HITS A BIT OF A WALL

Edwin Zoetebier was forced to leave training Tuesday when the Feyenoord goalie experienced pains in his knee. The problem is only indirectly connected to Zoetebier’s hamstring injury, which has all but cleared up. ‘It’ll only put me back a few days, but it’s a very bitter pill,’ admitted Zoetebier. ‘Because I was back in training and this is basically the first real setback I’ve had.’

Zoetebier: ‘You don’t expect disappointments at this stage of your recovery, so it’s very irritating. Everything was going so well. But that’s just how it is. We’ll now work hard to get everything right and hopefully I can make my return at the end of the week or early next week.’ With Carlo l'Ami still unavailable, fourth-choice keeper Ronald Graafland will sit on the bench when Feyenoord take on AGOVV in the Amstel Cup Wednesday.
