VAN MARWIJK NEEDS ANOTHER LOOK AT KIM

Trialist Nam-Il Kim failed to make an impression on Bert van Marwijk in Sunday’s 7-0 thrashing of Go Ahead Eagles. The Korean was pulled off after 55 minutes and will now be hoping he gets another chance to showcase his talent before returning home. ‘He wasn’t able to convince me,’ Van Marwijk admitted. ‘In a game like that it’s difficult to make a judgment. But I wanted to see him in action again.’

Van Marwijk was reasonably pleased with his side in the seven-goal win against first division opposition. ‘We had a few good moments. Against a team like Go Ahead you have to remain focused, because there’s a minimum of space. And I’m glad everyone got a game, while others were rested. Buffel didn’t play because of a groin strain.’ Robin van Persie hit four goals and earned the praise of the coach. ‘It’s important that Robin builds up his confidence again. We are seeing a different Robin than we did in the past. He did well today.’
