KOREAN NAM-IL KIM INVITED FOR ASSESSMENT

The latest in a line of trialists, Korean midfielder Nam-il Kim is due to fly into Rotterdam Monday after accepting an invite to train with the club. The 25-year-old Chunnam Dragons player was an important member of Guus Hiddink’s Korean World Cup squad last summer. Kim was recently at West Ham United on the other side of the North Sea for a trial, but the Hammers eventually opted for English international Lee Bowyer instead.

Nam-Il Kim has made a name for himself in his homeland as a bona fide ball-winner. The Korean, who can run 100 metres in 12 seconds, plays either defensive midfield or defence. Nam-Il Kim’s bubbly personality has made him enormously popular back home and the lad’s fan club boasts over 400,000 members. The international with 23 caps is expected to stay in Holland around 10 days.
