CHINESE BO ON TRIAL AT FEYENOORD

Chinese striker Qu Bo arrives at the Kuip Monday morning to start a week’s training with Feyenoord. Qu Bo will not be travelling to the Canaries however, as he’s set to fly out to Qatar Saturday, where he’ll hook up with the Chinese Olympic team for an international tournament. The 21-year-old was a member of the Chinese World Cup squad only last year. The player currently wears the colours of Qingdao Hainu in his homeland.

Bo will not be the only trialist in Rotterdam in January. Feyenoord partner Excelsior will play host to 20-year-old Alessandro van Belo Horizonte. Technical director Rob Baan is still in negotiations about the details of the trial with the player’s Brazilian club. Alessandro has been to Rotterdam before, but was ruled out for a long time after surgery on his cruciate ligaments, the same injury as Ebi Smolarek suffered.
