SUPERSPORT UNITED ALLIANCE EXTENDED

The cooperation between South Africa’s SuperSport United and Feyenoord is to be extended by a further three years. The aim of the collaboration is to train and educate young footballers with potential in Johannesburg. Feyenoord has an option to take one or more of the student/players every year. ‘I am very satisfied with all the partnerships that Feyenoord has built up around the world,’ Technical Director Rob Baan declared to Feyenoordkant.

Feyenoord and SuperSport launched their partnership precisely one year ago when the football academy opened its doors on the outskirts of Johannesburg. ‘We scout in the whole of Africa, looking for 11- and 12-year-olds who are good enough to join the 1st or 2nd generation of the football academy in South Africa,’ Baan explained.
