Feyenoord captain Paul Bosvelt has committed himself to the club until the end of the 2003-4 season. The 32-year-old, who joined the Rotterdam outfit in 1997, is currently the UEFA Cup holder’s longest serving player along with Kees van Wonderen.
‘This confirms I’m really enjoying myself at Feyenoord,’ Bosvelt said. ‘Feyenoord must also be pleased with me, or this wouldn’t have been completed so quickly. I’m glad we finished everything before the start of the season so I can now stop worrying about it. I’ll be 34 in two years, and we’ll see what happens then.’
