HEAVY FINE FOR FEYENOORD

UEFA has hit Feyenoord with a fine of 25,000 Swiss francs after the club’s supporters celebrated their UEFA Cup triumph against Borussia Dortmund with fireworks. Manager Jan D. Swart was very upset by the decision to punish Feyenoord and especially the size of the penalty. 'We didn’t even organise the UEFA Cup final,' said a disgruntled Swart.

Feyenoord has now called in the help of the Dutch football association KNVB to do what it can, but does not plan to appeal. 'It’s been shown in the past that appealing to UEFA only costs money.'
