FEYENOORD ARRIVES IN AUSTRIA

IGLS- Feyenoord arrived safely on Sunday afternoon in Igls, an Austrian alpine village where the Rotterdam team are preparing for the new season for a week by means of a training camp and a friendly tournament. The squad arrived with some hours delay after waiting for their baggage in Munich. The first training session was in a neighbouring village on Sunday evening.

Owing to the large number of injured players, the group was split up for the Sunday-evening session. Edwin Zoetebier, Pierre van Hooijdonk, Patrick Paauwe, Bonaventure Kalou, Glenn Loovens, Patrick Lodewijks, Ramon van Haaren and Ferry de Haan were limited to running exercise led by Toine van de Goolberg, while Robin van Persie underwent a practice programme with physiotherapist Marcel de Geus. The remainder of the group completed a standard if light training session in the picturesque village of Aldrans. As a precaution, Pierre van Hooijdonk en Ramon van Haaren left the mountain training pitch early.
