AUSTRALIAN TRAINEES IN ROTTERDAM

There’s a new kid on the block at Feyenoord right now and it’s Australian frontman Brett Holman, who has hooked up with the club for a few weeks to get a taste of European football. The 17-year-old, who plays his soccer at Parramatta Power back home, came recommended by Dave Mitchell. The club reiterates that no negotiations are ongoing with a view to bringing the teenager to Feyenoord for a more protracted period.

Brett will get a run out in the International Youth Tournament that kicks off this Friday in the Kuip. Admission is free to all interested. Brett will not be the only Antipodean in a Feyenoord shirt at the youth tournament this weekend. His countrymen Jeff Bright and Michael Brown, who are also just 17, are also training with Feyenoord at the moment.
