SEEDORF IMPRESSED BY THE LEGION AND ITS TEAM

Although Clarence Seedorf was dumped out of the UEFA Cup together with his club Internazionale in the Kuip six days ago, it hasn’t stopped the Dutchman from expressing his admiration for the Legion. Writing in his column for Dutch magazine Sportweek, Seedorf admitted, 'I really enjoyed the atmosphere in the Kuip. As an ex-Ajax player I was really given the bird, but that’s all part of the emotions in football. It also illustrates the intense way in which the Feyenoord supporters experience their club’s matches.'

Seedorf has been clearly impressed by the manner in which the Rotterdam outfit eased past the superstars of Inter Milan over two games to reach the UEFA Cup final. 'Last week we were able to see that football isn’t just about accumulating quality. The right attitude and formation are just as important, as Feyenoord proved against us. Holland can be very proud of this club. They have radiated something positive for years, for which they’ve now been properly rewarded. I wish Feyenoord every success in the final. It’s good for the whole of Dutch football that they have achieved what they have.'
