MAURICIO AROS IN THE PLAYING MOOD

With Tomasz Rzasa suspended for the upcoming meet with Milan, it’s Mauricio Aros who will occupy the left back position in Thursday’s UEFA Cup semifinal. It’s a big game for the Chilean, who’s only started three times since his January switch to Rotterdam. Aros is confident that he’ll not let the side down though. ‘The supporters can assume one thing: I’ll give everything and I mean everything. It’s the only way to pay them back for the warmth they’ve shown towards me.’

Thanks to his international experience Aros is in no doubt things will fall into place. ‘We have to sit back tomorrow, let Inter do the work. It would be nice if I could say that they don’t have the players to do that, but obviously they do. We do have something else though: the unqualified will to do something special. To win cups. It’s so clear from everything. That mentality has taken us so far and it is going to take us to the final.’
