Feyenoord have added Michiel Kramer to their squad with immediate effect. The 26-year-old forward arrives in Rotterdam from ADO Den Haag. Kramer signed a three-year contract in one of the business units at De Kuip on Friday afternoon. He’s been given the number 31 shirt.
Feyenoord’s head coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst immediately gave the striker’s arrival the thumbs up. ‘I’m glad he’s going to play for us. Michiel is a player who scores goals, who can cause any defence problems due to his height and physicality. He’s a player who suits us and it gives us even more options up front with him.’
The Rotterdam-born Kramer made his Eredivisie debut as a NAC Breda player on 30 November 2008. The following summer saw him move to FC Volendam, where he gradually established himself. In his final season at the Jupiler League club – 2012/2013 – Kramer made his name with 22 league goals.
The striker earned a transfer to ADO Den Haag, where he has spent the past two seasons. In his first season in The Hague Kramer netted seven times, while last season he notched seventeen Eredivisie goals.
