Sam Larsson signed a four-year contract at De Kuip on Monday after Feyenoord reached agreement with his club sc Heerenveen. The 24-year-old winger joins Feyenoord with immediate effect.
The Swede came through his medical on Monday morning and put his signature to his new deal in the Boardroom at De Kuip after lunch. Larsson will play in the number 11 shirt at his new club.
Technical director Martin van Geel expressed his delight at landing his man. ‘Sam is a welcome reinforcement who completes our squad. With his arrival we have two players in every position,’ said Van Geel. ‘Sam has specific qualities and as a result he adds value to our squad. He is a different type of winger than the wingers we already have. That offers our head coach extra options.’
Larsson has played in the colours of sc Heerenveen for the past three seasons, after transferring from IFK Gothenburg in 2014. He made 86 league appearances for the Frisian club in total, scoring 23 goals. He has not played for sc Heerenveen this season.
