Brad Jones (36) will continue his career at Al Nassr. The Riyadh-based club have reached agreement on the keeper’s move to Saudi Arabia. Jones, who won three trophies with Feyenoord, including the Eredivisie title, had one year left on his contract at De Kuip.
Jones says he leaves the Netherlands ‘only with good feelings’. ‘My family and I have had a wonderful time in Rotterdam and at the club. I have lots of great memories, but obviously, above all, I will never forget winning the national title and the reception on Coolsingel. I wish the club and the staff and squad all the best in the future.’
‘Brad has done fantastically here and is still a top-quality keeper,’ said technical director Martin van Geel. ‘We can allow a good goalkeeper to leave, because we still have a good selection of keepers in Justin Bijlow, Kenneth Vermeer, who is happily fit again, and Ramon ten Hove. It also creates room in our salary budget and we will of course continue to look around the market.’
