Elvis Manu will continue his career at Brighton & Hove Albion. Feyenoord have reached agreement with the English Championship side on the 22-year-old’s immediate transfer. Manu’s contract at De Kuip was set to end in the summer of 2017.
Manu, who came through the Feyenoord Academy, made his first team debut for the club on 26 February 2012 against PSV. After loans at Excelsior and sc Cambuur the striker returned to the Feyenoord first-team squad last summer.
Last season Manu started 15 Eredivisie matches and came off the bench a further 12 times. He scored seven goals in all league appearances. This term Manu has come off the bench once, in the final stages of the Eredivisie opener against FC Utrecht.
Manu joins the Seagulls – home to fellow Dutchman Danny Holla – exactly one year after making an international splash in the Europa League qualifiers. The youngster came on as a substitute to score the winning goal against Zorya Luhansk in injury time to put Feyenoord into the group stage. He went on to net another three times in the tournament.
