Feyenoord have exercised their option to contract Colin Kazim-Richards permanently. The Turkey striker, who is currently at De Kuip on loan from Bursaspor, will sign a two-year deal on a free transfer, extending his stay at Feyenoord until mid 2017.
‘We are happy to be able to have Colin after this season,’ said technical director Martin van Geel about the decision, which was widely supported at the club. ‘He has proven his value for Feyenoord this season both on and off the pitch. Colin is physically strong, has a huge winner’s mentality and adds a lot of experience to our squad. We are also confident that Colin will only score more goals next season, now that he is increasingly familiar with how we play.’
