Feyenoorders delighted with new Opels

The players and coaches of Feyenoord were presented with their new Opels for the season on Tuesday. Lex Immers, Erwin Mulder, Warner Hahn, John Goossens and Matthew Steenvoorden were the first in line, receiving the keys to their new cars on the forecourt in front of De Kuip. Five factory-fresh Opels were waiting for them there in the early afternoon and the players were all delighted with heir new rides. ‘Last year I drove in a Opel Insignia for the first time and I loved it,’ said Erwin Mulder.

The keys were handed over exactly one year after Opel became Feyenoord’s main sponsor. ‘The past year has been a very positive one for us as main sponsor,’ said Jeroen Maas, Opel’s public relations manager. ‘We've done a lot to settle in as main sponsor at the club. We have looked to create a connection with the supporters by means of various campaigns and activities, such as the Twitter wall in the players’ home and the Wheel of Fortune during half time at Feyenoord matches. We’ll carry on along the same path next season and present new campaigns. We also want to flesh out the social side of our commitment as main sponsor.’
