Feyenoord and Justin Bijlow have extended the 18-year-old’s contract until mid 2021. The young keeper put pen to paper on his new deal in the Feyenoord boardroom on Thursday afternoon.
The new contract is a clear expression of Feyenoord’s confidence in the talented youth international, who has come through the Feyenoord Academy. ‘Justin shows a lot of promise, and we think he can develop into Feyenoord’s first-choice goalkeeper in the future,’ said technical director Martin van Geel. ‘We will look together to see what the best path is for that, with a period on loan being one of the options.’
Bijlow originally joined Feyenoord as an F pupil and signed his first professional contract at the club aged 17 in February 2015.
