Extra steps taken to deal with coronavirus
Feyenoord introduced a number of special measures on Sunday in response the spread of coronavirus. The club has followed the cabinet’s lead in extending the period during which the far-reaching measures apply through to 6 April.
Away fixture at RKC Waalwijk postponed
The extension of this period means that Feyenoord’s visit to RKC Waalwijk, originally scheduled for Sunday 5 April, has been postponed.
Training complex closed
The KNVB has also advised all clubs to close their training complexes. As a consequence, the first-team squad will not assemble at 1908 until 6 April.
Varkenoord and De Kuip closed, Fan Shops open
Feyenoord Academy – and so also Varkenoord – will be completely closed until 6 April. Large gatherings cannot take place at De Kuip. Tours of the stadium have also been cancelled, with Feyenoord Museum closing its doors too. The Feyenoord Fan Shops do remain open, but they are working at limited capacity.
The club is closely monitoring the situation, which can change at any time. Keep an eye on the official club channels for new developments.
