Feyenoord aiming to make more memories in 2022
As the winter break comes to an end and the season resumes, Feyenoord is proud to present a new video: ‘Feyenoord, Making Memories’. Because the best memories are those that are yet to be made. That is the message the club wants to send out in the video, released at the start of what should be a successful year.
The transformation of the first team squad under Arne Slot, with qualification for the knock-out stages in Europe and a place in the upper echelons of the Eredivisie as provisional results. The spectacular debut of Feyenoord Women, a team that got off to a flying start and wrote history. And the development of talented youngsters at Feyenoord Academy, learning all the time in their journey that will hopefully lead to De Kuip. So many great memories were made in 2021.
Players of the men’s and women’s first teams and Feyenoord Academy have assembled specially for a campaign video, looking ahead to 2022, when more, new (sporting) memories will be created. It is the first time in the club’s history that these three parts of Feyenoord have been brought together – figuratively and literally – in this way.
In the video they join various supporters’ groups to sing ‘Love U More’. The original is by Sunscreem, but a cover by DJ Paul Elstak turned it into a popular rave classic. The track has been reimagined by the gospel choir G-Roots. Accompanied by a voiceover on the ‘making memories’ theme, this new version is brimming with love for Feyenoord.
