Feyenoord appoints Te Kloese as CEO
Dennis te Kloese has been appointed as the new CEO of Feyenoord. Born in Bussum, The Netherlands, 47-year-old Te Kloese will be signing a contract with the Rotterdam based football club shortly and is set to assume his new role starting January 15, 2022. Te Kloese’s predecessor Mark Koevermans will step down from his position on December 1, 2021.
Prior to his move to Feyenoord, Te Kloese made a name for himself by successfully assuming leadership roles in both Mexico and the United States. Notably, he was CEO of Mexico’s soccer federation Femexfut and joined Major League Soccer club LA Galaxy in 2018 as its general manager.
Feyenoord greatly appreciates the fact that LA Galaxy were willing to facilitate Te Kloese’s move to Rotterdam. Feyenoord looks forward to further exploring the newly established relationship between both clubs in the near future, hoping to build on each other’s experiences and successes.
‘I am very proud and truly humbled by the opportunity to work for Feyenoord as the new CEO, it’s impossible to say no to Feyenoord, an amazing opportunity and a great challenge for both me and my family,’ Te Kloese states.
‘Feyenoord is an amazing Club with a rich history, a great and unique fanbase and numerous opportunities to look for a bright future. I am aware there are challenges, which we will face with hard work, dedication and experience for Feyenoord to find and create new opportunities.’
‘I am looking forward to meeting my new colleagues, Feyenoord’s partners and everyone close to the Club and working together as soon as possible.’
‘I think we should be very pleased that Dennis has chosen to join our fantastic club,’ says Toon van Bodegom, chairman of Feyenoord’s board of directors. ‘Dennis and I have known each other for years, and I am convinced that his knowledge, experience and extended network can benefit Feyenoord. We will do our utmost to help him achieve the club’s goals.’
