Feyenoord confirm Danilo arrival

Feyenoord has reached terms with Danilo Pereira da Silva. The unattached 23-year-old Brazilian striker is set to sign a four-year deal until mid-2026.

Feyenoord technical director’s Frank Arnesen has a great deal of confidence in the club’s new summer signing. ‘A deft, fleet-of-foot striker like Danilo is a welcome addition to our selection. It’s also nice that he can join Feyenoord transfer-free. We are very hopeful that Danilo will be able to show what he’s good at here: being effective and threatening in the box and scoring goals.’

Born in São Paulo, Danilo largely came through the age groups in his native Brazil and played youth football at Corinthians, Vasco da Gama and Santos before arriving at Ajax in 2017. On loan to FC Twente in the 2020-2021 season he netted 17 times in 33 appearances, one of the best goals-to-games ratios in the Eredivisie.
