Feyenoord and Orange County SC join forces

Feyenoord has entered an agreement with Orange County SC as part of its international partnership strategy. The California-based soccer club, 2021 champions of USA’s second tier domestic league called USL Championship, will collaborate with Feyenoord on a wide range of subjects including talent identification and soccer innovation.

CEO Dennis te Kloese is pleased to see Feyenoord building on its presence in the United States by forming an alliance with Orange County SC. Multiple educational partnerships between Feyenoord and a variety of US-based soccer clubs including RISE SC and Florida Premier FC have been in existence for many years already, but the newly formed collaboration with OCSC touches on untapped, strategic grounds.

‘We are very happy to establish this partnership with Orange County SC’, said Te Kloese. ‘Having been a soccer executive in the United States for a considerable amount of years, I know OCSC and its ambitious approach very well. Feyenoord shares Orange County’s drive to improve and we look forward to establishing a healthy cooperation between both clubs, exchanging knowledge on player development, digital innovation and scouting.’

Oliver Wyss, president of soccer operations and general manager of Orange County SC, expresses his delight at having signed a multi-year agreement with Feyenoord.

‘We take a lot of pride in being recognized as a club that is on the forefront of player development in the U.S. and are excited to partner with Feyenoord who is a very well-respected club in world football’, said Wyss. ‘This milestone partnership validates our extensive investment into player development and will elevate our already very successful pathway to new levels. Collaborating and learning from Feyenoord’s innovative ways will improve our technical side of our club and set us up for long term success both on the field and in the global transfer market.’
